ABOUT

When you're a kid and someone asks, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” – graphic designer usually isn’t the first answer that comes to mind. But growing up, I was always drawing, coloring, and dreaming up creative projects—anything that let me explore ideas visually and bring them to life. So when it came time for college, I naturally leaned toward an artistic path.

While building my first semester schedule, my advisor suggested I take his Visual Communications – Graphic Design class. I signed up without knowing much about it and instantly fell in love. I was drawn to how type, imagery, color, and composition could work together to communicate something meaningful and evoke emotion.

My first official project as a designer was the interior layout for a book called, The Baseball Astrologer—and seeing my name on the copyright page next to “Interior Design by…” was unforgettable. But even more meaningful than that are the moments when a client holds their new business card and says they finally feel seen. Or when a bride tears up at the first glimpse of her invitation suite. Better yet, when a business owner looks at their updated signage and print materials and feels a sense of clarity, that their visual presence finally reflects who they are.

I’m so glad I took a leap of faith and signed up for a class I was a bit unsure of at the time. It changed everything.
